Synopsis

 

The Forty Hadith of Imam Nawawi is without doubt, the most famous, comprehensive and widely regarded collection in the genre of Arbaeniyyaat [forty Hadith] collections. This collection has always been considered an essential text for every student of knowledge and a great starting point for any Muslim who desires to learn the profound words of the Prophet Mohammed [peace be upon him] as the understanding of these ahadith is fundamental to the belief and practice of a Muslim.

The hadith in this collection are unique because these are of the Messenger of Allah’s most comprehensive utterances, each one of which is eloquent and full of meaning. By studying these 40 ahadith, one gains a firm understanding of the religion of Islam and clear guidelines for personal and communal change.

This course has something for everyone. It speaks to anyone wishing to gain further insight into the beautiful tradition of our Prophet [may Allah bless him and give him peace]

Student requisites

Students must be able to:
• read Arabic with vowels
• dedicate 3-4 hours per week
• use PDF and Word files
• attend weekly class punctually

Upon completion

This is an Ijazah course and students who memorize and understand the principles covered in the text will be honored with a written Ijazah granting permission to impart this sacred text unto others. A more general Ijazah, indicating completion and participation under the tutelage of a teacher, will be awarded to those who actively attend the entire course.
